Kerry Seilhan

Funeral Director/Embalmer & Owner

In 1975, Kerry T. Seilhan was born to Lee Allen Seilhan and the former Burna Dean Daigle of Crowley, LA. As Mr. Sidney P. Guidry, Sr.’s grandson-in-law, he decided to go into the funeral industry in 1995. He graduated from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in 1996. Kerry worked for a local funeral home firm in Monroe, LA while his wife, Allison Thibodeaux Seilhan, attended Pharmacy School at NLU. Upon her graduation in 1998, they relocated back home to the Lafayette area where he worked for two local funeral home firms over the next 16 years as a funeral director and embalmer, as well as general manager at one of the firms.

Kerry and Allison have a daughter and son; Peyton and Parker Seilhan. On January 1, 2014, Kerry purchased Sidney P. Guidry, Jr.’s share of Guidry Funeral Home and is now a business partner with his father-in-law Robert Thibodeaux. Helping the families that he serves in the most trying time of their lives, the death of a loved one, has made him a stronger, more compassionate person. He understands that people have choices when they lose a family member and he strives to give the people of Church Point the most personal service available. He is a member of the Southwest Louisiana Funeral Directors Association, Louisiana Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association.
