Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Theresa Yvonne Guidry, 70. Ms. Guidry, a native of Church Point and long-time resident of Baton Rouge, La., died at 2:05 A.M. Thursday, September 29 at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home in Baton Rouge. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Church Point.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews: Elizabeth Guidry Fennell and husband Robert, Samuel Guidry and Sylvia Guidry Miller and husband Thomas-all of Denham Springs, La.; Carolyn Guidry Sommers and husband Jeff of Baton Rouge; Bryan Guidry and wife Kathy, Jennifer Guidry Wright and husband Brett and Kevin Guidry and wife "Sam"-all of Lafayette, La. and her sisters-in-law, Goldie Doguet Guidry of Denham Springs and Earline Menard Guidry of Lafayette. She is also survived by a number of great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Marianne (Venable) Guidry and two brothers, Patrick and Levence Guidry.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, September 30 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services.

A recitation of the Rosary (in Acadian French) will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday by Andrew Jagneaux.
