Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2025 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, LA, for Mrs. Wilma M. Lejeune, 93, who passed away at 10:30 PM Friday, December 27, at Oak Lane Wellness Center in Eunice, LA.

Fr. Korey Lavergne, Pastor of St. Edward Catholic Church, will conduct the Funeral Services. Burial will take place in St. Edward Cemetery.

Wilma, a resident of Richard, was the daughter of the late Constant Matte and the former Lucide Foux.

She is survived by one daughter, Connie LeJeune of Richard; one son, Shelly LeJeune and wife Glenda of Baton Rouge, LA; three grandchildren, Nicholas LeJeune and wife Melanie of Denham Springs, LA, Hal Lejeune of Richard, LA and Laura LeJeune-Ledet of Baton Rouge; a bonus granddaughter, Blair Matte of Richard, LA and four great-grandchildren, Laynee Ann LeJeune, Lillian Rose LeJeune, Miranda Evans and Hudson Ledet. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Iceal Lejeune; her son-in-law, Raywood LeJeune; three sisters and three brothers.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, from 9:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 2:00 PM Friday.

The family would like to thank Mrs. Wilma's caregivers, Becky, Gigi and Ursula, for the compassionate care given to her during her later years of life.
