Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 11, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church in Lewisburg, La. for Wilma B. Thibodeaux,83, the former Wilma Marie Briscoe. Mrs. Thibodeaux, a native and long-time resident of rural St. Landry Parish near Church Point, died at 3:25 A.M. Wednesday, January 9 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery adjacent to the Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gervais Thibodeaux of Church Point; two daughters, Ella Thibodaux and husband Glendy of Church Point and Christine and husband Randy Richard of Opelousas, La.; a daughter-in-law, Lisa Thibodeaux of Church Point; nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferrale "Fed" and Lorena (Jeanise) Briscoe; two brothers, William and Wilbur Briscoe; a son, Vince Thibodeaux; a granddaughter, Bailey Thibodeaux and two great-grandchildren, Cody and Brody Thibodaux.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at St. John Catholic Church at 1:45 P.M. on Friday by Monsignor DeBlanc.

Pallbearers will be Glen Joseph and Shaun Thibodaux, Carl Montecino III, Stacy LeJeune, Randy Richard and Glendy Thibodaux. Honorary Pallbearers will be James Thibodaux and Jacob LeJeune.
