Church Point, LA:      Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 19, 2022 at St. John Chapel in Lewisburg, LA for Mr. William Ray McMillan, 89, who passed away at 12:55 AM Sunday, September 18 at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home in Jennings, LA. Deacon Michael Vidrine will conduct the funeral services and burial will take place in St. John Cemetery in Lewisburg.

William, a resident of Lewisburg, was the son of the late William McMillan and the former Helen Beaugh. He is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Higginbotham and husband Gene of Lewisburg and Tammy Thibodeaux of Lewisburg; a son-in-law, Brian Vasseur of Lewisburg; twelve grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Claudette D. McMillan; two daughters, Linda McMillan and Rayleen Vasseur; two sisters, Mary and Helen McMillan; four brothers, John, Roger, Tommy and Lou Jack McMillan and a son-in-law, Fred Thibodeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, September 19, from 9:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited by the family at 12:30 PM in the funeral home. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. McMillan will be honored with a Flag Presentation by the Honor Guard of American Legion Post 225 and VFW Post 9903 at the time of services. The family wishes to thank the SW LA Veterans Home for the good care given to him.
