Church Point, LA:         Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Wesley Hornsby, 83. Mr. Hornsby, a native and long-time resident of rural Acadia Parish near Branch, LA, died Sunday afternoon, December 15 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Deacon Bryne Winn will conduct the services with interment following in the Maxie Cemetery off Hwy 98, Maxie, LA.

Survivors include his companion, Beulah Thibodeaux of Branch; two daughters, Carolyn Bradford and husband John and Odette Ericsson-all of Hertfordshire, England; a brother, Carl Wayne Hornsby of Alexandria, LA; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Edith Spears Hornsby; a stepfather, Leland Richard and two sisters and two brothers. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 8:00 A. M. until the time of the services on Wednesday with a recitation of the Rosary at 1:30 P.M. by Deacon Winn.

A retired U.S. Air Force NCO and veteran of the Viet Nam War who worked in the oilfields for some years, Mr. Hornsby was loved and will be missed by his extended family and friends.
