Warren Joseph
Hollier
September 22, 1937 – January 18, 2023
Church Point, LA: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Our Lady of The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mr. Warren Joseph Hollier, 85, who passed away at 9:00 PM Wednesday, January 18 at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of Our Lady Of The Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass with burial immediately following in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35.
Warren was the son of the late Cyrus Hollier and the former Edmae Matte. Born in Church Point and raised in Opelousas, LA, he was a 1955 Graduate of A.I.C. (now known as Opelousas Catholic High School). After graduation, he and his family moved to Lafayette. There he attended Spencer Business College and then became a manager at Don's Seafood Restaurant in downtown Lafayette for numerous years. Being a salesman at heart, he entered the mobile home business with Alto Trailer Sales, Inc. and was a top salesman for many years. He continued to work until 1995 when illness forced him to retire. He loved football, boxing, horseracing and French music. Most importantly, he loved the Lord. He would walk every day to the chapel to pray for his family and others who were suffering. Warren was a very giving, forgiving and kindhearted person. He always gave the best advice no matter how big or small the dilemma was.
Left to cherish his memory are his niece and nephew who are also his God-children, Malinda Higginbotham and husband Carl "Bruh" Higginbotham of Church Point and Carl Hollier and wife Tammy of Crowley; his great nieces and nephews, Candice Hunt, Bethany Vasquez, Amelia Lyons, Maggie Thibodeaux, Vincent Doucet, Janie Herpin and Ashley Bouillion and his great great nieces and nephews, Aiden Vasquez, Alex Vasquez, Aubrey Bellard, Alayah Duplechin, MaKayla Lebouef, Abel Doucet, Jaxton Doucet, Jolie Doucet, Drake Bouillion, Logan Bouillion, Robert Doucet and Hope Herpin. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Harold Hollier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, January 23, from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral mass at 3:00 PM. There will be a prayer service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM conducted by Pastor Kerry Doucet of Crossway Fellowship Church in Crowley. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 2:15 PM prior to leaving for the mass. Personal condolences may be sent to the Hollier family at
