Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Vonda Kay Savoy, 48, the former Vonda Kay Olivier. Ms. Savoy, a life-long resident of Church Point, died at 6:55 P.M. Sunday, February 2 at Opelousas General Hospital in Opelousas, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her parents, Mickey and Willie Mae Lavergne Olivier of Church Point; two daughters, Heather Olivier-Lavergne and husband Ty and Chelsey Savoy-all of Church Point; a brother, Troy Olivier and beloved niece, Taylor Olivier-both of Church Point and three grandchildren, Malery, Anna-Grace and John-Thomas Lavergne.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 4 and continue from 9:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday by Deacon Jim Cormier.
