Church Point, LA A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Vivian Daigle, 93, who passed away on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:45 am at her residence. Msgr. Jefferson Deblanc, Pastor of the church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass with entombment immediately following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum-Hwy 35 north of Church Point. Vivian, a long-time resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Louis Pellerin and the former Lezida Smith.She is survived by five daughters: Cynthia Matte and husband Eddie of Church Point, Jo Ann Miller and husband Jr. Miller of Church Point, Mildred "Millie" Fall and husband Fernand of Baton Rouge, LA, Dolores Schexnider and husband Russell of Church Point and Peggy Doucet of Church Point; one son, John Grady Daigle and wife Carolyn of Greenwell Springs, LA; eleven grandchildren: Melanie Godso, Vivian Cherie Jarreau, Laura Matte, Dustin Matte, Emily Richard, Tammy Wimberley, Jeremy Fall, Jason Lavergne, Brad Doucet, Nick Doucet and Coby Doucet; twenty-three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Euel Pellerin of Lake Charles, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben D. Daigle; her parents; four grandsons, James Todd Daigle, Brandon Seth Fall, Chad Michael Miller and Shane Maurice Matte; her son-in-law, J.B. Doucet; four sisters, Mildred Pellerin Faul, Yvonne Pellerin, Anna Belle Briscoe and Lillian Thibodeaux. Mrs. Daigle was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and loved to garden. She was a great cook and lived her 93 years so beautifully. Vivian was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Stella Carriere, who brought her the Eucharist weekly and the staff of Lamm Home Health and Hospice, especially Stacy and Mona. They extend a special thank you to her caretakers, Sylvia D'Heilly, Jamie Matte and her late future great-grand daughter-in-law, Taylor Chapman. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday, April 24 and continue on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Sunday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dustin Matte, Jason Lavergne, Jeremy Fall, Brad Doucet, Nick Doucet, Coby Doucet, and Casey Lavergne.
