A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 8, 2009 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Virginia "Jenny" Glass, 53, the former Virginia Benoit. Mrs. Glass, a life-long resident of Church Point, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at her residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the service.

Survivors include her mother, Leola Sattler Benoit of Church Point; a son, Mark Daniel Zmeskal, wife Amber and grandson Austin of Ponchatoula, La.; a daughter, Margaret Amanda Glass of Lake Charles, La.; four brothers: Terry Benoit of Warner-Robbins, Ga., John Benoit of Addis, La., Winston Benoit of Sulphur, La. and Steven Benoit of Rosenberg, Tex. She is also survived by three sisters: Patsy Olivier, Janice Stewart and Jackie Cormier-all of Church Point.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Glass; her father, Jacques "Jack" Benoit and a sister, Ellen Prejean.

Visitors may pay their respects to the family at 509 North Street, Church Point on Sunday.
