Church Point, LA: Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Virginia Burleigh,82, the former Virginia Ann Johnson. Mrs. Burleigh, a native of Church Point and long-time resident of Breaux Bridge, LA, died Monday morning, November 12 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Pere David Rozas will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy Burleigh of Breaux Bridge; a son, Ricky Burleigh and wife Theresa of Breaux Bridge; a daughter, Debra Miller and husband John Allen Miller of Scott, LA and her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Philomene Robin Johnson and an infant sister.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 13 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday by Pere Rozas.

An avid gardener who lived for her family and flowers, Mrs. Burleigh was truly loved and will be dearly missed.
