Church Point, LA:     A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Violet M. Lejeune, 91, the former Violet Mae Matte. Ms. Lejeune, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Tuesday morning, December 23 at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA. Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM Wednesday until the time of the Service. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 PM by Deacon Byrne Winn, who will conduct the Service. Interment will immediately follow in the OLSH Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy Guidry and husband Wayne of Carencro, LA, Lucille Lejeune of Church Point and Sandra Ardoin and husband Mark of Abita Springs, LA; her grandchildren: Troy and Raphael Guidry, Rachal Bergeron, Natalie and Thomas Babineaux and Alex, Zachary and Shelby Ardoin; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton and Ella Quibodeaux Matte and a brother, Leander Matte.

A devout and hard-working cafeteria worker in the Acadia Parish School System for a number of years; Ms. Lejeune was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Truly loved, she will be missed by all who knew her.
