Vernon "Buster" Lavergne's Obituary
Church Point, La.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, November 28, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Vernon "Buster" Lavergne, 67. Mr. Lavergne, a native of Church Point and currently a resident of Basile, La., died at 12:44 P.M. Saturday, November 26 at the Basile Care Center. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.
Mr. Lavergne is survived by two sisters, Jo Ann Sonnier and husband Darrell of Lafayette, La. and Claudette Bertrand and husband Jimmy of Eunice, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rutland and Annie (Miller) Lavergne and a sister, Rose Angelle.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 27 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Monday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
