Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday November 7, 2007 at St. Bridget Catholic Church; Lawtell, La. for Velma Comeaux Richard, the former Velma Marie Comeaux, who died at 8:00 A.M. on Monday November 5, 2007 at her residence. She was a native of Lawtell, La. Father Dan Picard and Fr. Austin Leger will conduct the services and entombment will be in the St. Bridget Mausoleum in Lawtell .

Survivors include her husband, Houston Richard of Lawtell, La.; three sons: Neal Richard and wife Tamie, Robby James Richard and Mark Richard and wife Alyce-all of Lawtell, La.; a daughter, Connie Thibodeaux and husband Glenn of Lawtell, La.; three brothers: Rodney Comeaux of Lawtell, La., Roy Comeaux of Swords, La. and Carl Comeaux of Opelousas, La.; two sisters: Shirlene Richard and Arleen Boudreaux- both of Walker, La.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Evans and Bernice Babineaux Comeaux. The Richards celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on February 16, 2007.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 6 and continue on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until time of services.

A rosary will be recited on Tuesday at 7:00 P.M. by Fr. Austin Leger.
