Church Point, LA:     Memorial services will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, October 3, 2022 in Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Velma Jane Doiga LeJeune, 79, who passed away at 8:42 AM Wednesday, September 28 at Opelousas General Medical Center in Opelousas, LA. Rev. Berl Adams, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Church Point, will conduct the funeral services.

Velma, a resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Charles Doiga and the former Pearl Dupuis. An avid LSU and Saints fan; she is survived by one granddaughter, Alayna Bertrand and husband Logan of Church Point; one sister, Connie Francis and husband Larry of Gonzales, LA; one brother, Joseph Aaron Doiga and wife Linda of Walker, LA; one former daughter-in-law, Stephanie Hough and husband Sidney of Church Point; one step-granddaughter, Sydney Jones and husband Jeb of Houston, TX and one step-great-grandson, Jonah Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kersey "Pecon" LeJeune; one son, Ricky LeJeune; four sisters: Louella Roy, Helen Daigle, Bernita Chustz and Ruth Thibodeaux and three brothers, Ray Doiga, Harry Doiga and Thomas Doiga.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Monday, October 3, from 4:00 PM until the time of memorial services.
