Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday June 10, 2007 for Mrs. George Folks, the former Velma Marie Matte, who died on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 3: 48 P. M. at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, Baton Rouge La.The deceased was born on July 2, 1926 in Church Point, La. Father Blair Lope- Sabaricos will conduct the services at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church Mausoleum.

Survivors include her spouse of 63 years, George Folks, of Greenwell Springs, La.; a son, Farrel Folks, of French Settlement, La.; a brother, Joseph Matte, of Morgan City, La.; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
The deceased was preceded in death by 3 sons: George Gerald Folks, Kerney Dale Folks and Frank Gary Folks.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. on Sunday and continue until time of services.

Rosary will be recited at 11:00 A.M. Sunday.
