Church Point, LA:     A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Travis John Nicko, 44. Mr. Nicko, a native of Opelousas, LA and resident of Lafayette, LA, died unexpectedly Thursday evening, February 5 at his place of business. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM Saturday until the time of the Service. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the Service after reciting the Rosary at 2:30 PM.

Survivors include his wife, Christy Soileau Nicko of Lafayette; his mother, Patricia D. Nicko of Sunset, LA; a brother, Anthony Jared Nicko of Sunset; his niece and nephew, Gemma Leigh and Anthony Bryant Nicko and his beloved animals: his dogs "Peanut", "Roux" and "CoCo", his cat "Sprinkle" and his turtle "Tommy". He was preceded in death by his father, Norman "Tony" Nicko.

In the pawn and jewelry business for over twenty years; Mr. Nicko was the owner of Able Pawn and Jewelry in Lafayette. A devoted husband, son and sibling who loved animals; he was truly loved and he will be missed by his extended family and all who knew him.
