Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 3, 2009 at Guidry Funeral Home, Church Point for Thomas "Tommy" Fusilier, 62. Mr. Fusilier, a native of and long-time resident of Branch, La., died at 2:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 1 at the Heart Hospital of Lafayette; Lafayette, La. Father Kevin Bordelon will conduct the services with interment following in the St. Edmund Cemetery; Branch, La.

Survivors include his mother, Leiza Belle Richard Fusilier of Branch, La.; two sons, Tommy Elvis Fusilier and wife Renee of Branch and Loney Edmond Fusilier and wife Amy of Kilgore, Tex.; two brothers, John E. Fusilier of Rayne, La. and Mark S. Fusilier of Tyler, Miss.; two sisters, Veronica Thevis of Branch and Candy Jones of Austin, Tex. and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elvis Fusilier; a niece, Elizabeth Russell and his companion, Mary T. Hebert.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from11:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 2 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday.

Mr. Fusilier, awarded two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart for his service in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam, will be honored with a Flag Presentation at the time of sevices.
