Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point for Mrs. Theo "Baby" (Letha) Leger, 87, the former Letha Doucet. Mrs. Leger, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 1:30 P.M. Sunday, February 6 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Church Point.
Survivors include two grandsons, Carl Young and wife Denise of Winnfield, La. and Sean Leger of Rayne, La.; a granddaughter, April Leger of Rayne; a great-granddaughter, Tori Young of Crowley, La.; a great-grandson, Caplan Young of Winnfield; a daughter-in-law, Mary Leger of Rayne and a sister, Zula O'Pry of Church Point.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theo "Baby" Leger; a daughter Jo Ann T. Young; two sons, Tim and Barry Leger; a son-in-law, Carl Ray Young and her parents, Noah and Marie Thibodeaux Doucet.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 7 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services.
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
