Church Point, La. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Mr. Terlin Olivier, 82, who passed away at 6:43 am on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home.

Msgr. Jefferson J. Deblanc, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Mass. Entombment will take place in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum on Hwy-35 north of Church Point.

Mr. Olivier, currently a resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Theo Olivier and the former Louisiana Comeaux.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Ann Olivier of rural St. Landry Parish near Lawtell, LA; two daughters, Tracey Olivier Thibodeaux and husband Timothy Thibodeaux of Lawtell and Gail Olivier Melancon of Denham Springs, LA; three sons, Randy Olivier and wife Judy Doucet Olivier of Denham Springs, LA, Wendell Olivier and wife Monica Revierre Olivier of Lawtell and Jody Olivier and wife Christina Theriot Olivier of Denham Springs; fourteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one brother, Sam Olivier of Eunice, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Joshua Olivier; one sister, Safer Olivier Matte and two brothers, Harry and Mervin Olivier.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Tuesday, February 10 and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 am until the time of service. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
