Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, March 13, 2023 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Susan Estilette, 67, the former Cynthia Susan Leger. Mrs. Estilette, a long-time resident of St. Landry Parish near Church Point, died Friday afternoon, March 10 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Rev. Father Brian Harrington, pastor of the church, will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35.

Survivors include her husband, Elton "Tony" Estilette of Church Point; her mother, Verna Mae Leger of Sunset, LA; her daughters,: Leslie Courvelle of Cankton, LA and Kelly Estilette Olivier (Blake) and Kayla Estilette Cormier (Brent)-all of Church Point; her sons: Tony James Estilette (Keisha) and Elton "EJ" Estilette (Morgan)-all of Church Point and Ryan Estilette (Michelle) of Roberts Cove, LA; a sister, Lisa Leger of Carencro, LA; her brothers: James Mickey Leger (Tammy) and Joseph Ricky Leger (Odelia)-all of Church Point and John Shyne Leger (Beth) and Mark Lucas Leger (Melinda)-all of Cankton, LA and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, James Leger and a granddaughter, Harley Albarado. Mrs. Estilette, an employee of Coburns Supply in Opelousas, LA for over 40 years, loved the outdoors, fishing, and being with her family.

The family requested that visiting hours continue uninterrupted at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:00 AM Sunday, March 12 until the time of the services on Monday. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 6:30 PM Sunday by Father Harrington. Pallbearers will be Tony, Kayla, Ryan, Tony James and "EJ" Estilette; Blake Olivier, Conner Albarado and Cody Leger. Honorary pallbearers will be Wylie Olivier, "TJ" Estilette and Wyatt Olivier. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA.
