Church Point, LA:         A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Point Church in Church Point, LA for Stoney Ross Loup, 57. Mr. Loup, a native of Lafayette, LA and resident of Scott, LA, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 15 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Care Pastor Leroy Spence will conduct the service and disposition will be handled by the family.

He is survived by his mother, Judy Sims Loup of Lafayette; three brothers: Lloyd Loup of San Antonio, TX, John Loup of Houston, MS and Michael Loup and wife Holly of Oklahoma City, OK; a sister, Wendy Hare and husband Holden of Church Point and a niece and nephew, Hailey and Hunter Hare. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd F. Loup; his grandparents, John H. Sims, Sr. and Peggy Jo Sims and a brother, Steve Loup.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of services. A laborer in the construction industry for a number of years, Mr. Loup was truly loved and will be missed by his extended family and friends. Since he was an organ donor, the family requests that donations be made to the LOPA Foundation at: www.lopafoundation.org in lieu of flowers. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
