Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, La. for Slye Allen Mier, 18. Mr. Mier, a native and long-time resident of Crowley, La., died Monday morning, January 26 in rural Acadia Parish near Rayne, La. Brother Andrew LeBlanc and Brother Justin Mier will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include his parents, Kendall Mier and Kristi Carrier McGee and husband Gary-all of Crowley; his maternal step-grandfather, Anthony Menard; his paternal grandparents, Christine and Terry Mier and his paternal great-grandmother, Louanna Breaux-all of Crowley; two brothers, Landan and Lexan McGee of Crowley and a sister, Tayvia Mier and a goddaughter, Melainn Sanchez-both of Thibodeaux, La.

He was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, Maxine Menard; his maternal great-grandparents, Andrew and Becky LeBlanc and his paternal great-grandfather, Willie "Sonny" Breaux.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 31 and continue from 10:00 A.M. Sunday until the time of the services.
