Church Point, La. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Sheryl Trahan, 54, the former Sheryl Ann Thibodeaux. Ms. Trahan, a long-time resident of Church Point, died at 6:00 A.M. Monday, April 15 at her residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Highway 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include two brothers, Ricky Thibodeaux and special friend Tina of Church Point and Greg Fontenot of Branch, La.; a sister, Dena Thibodeaux Snow and husband Rick of Fort Worth, Tex.; an aunt, Bernadine Trahan and husband Herman of Rayne, La.; an uncle, Leroy Briscoe and wife Mary Jane of Opelousas, La.; her nieces and nephews: Tynnah, Anthony and Toby Thibodeaux, Blair Bouget and Eric, Brennan and Lauren Snow; and a great-niece, Dynnah Thibodeaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ravis "P.J." and Mary Jane (Briscoe) Thibodeaux; a brother, Tony Dean Hayes and a sister, Donna Bouget.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 16 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday.

Ms. Trahan was an employee of the Evangeline Brokerage Company in Church Point for a number of years.
