Church Point, LA:         A Prayer Service will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Sherry Oakley, 64, the former Sherry Gale Labbie. Mrs. Oakley, a native of Church Point, passed away Sunday morning, December 6 at her residence near Sunset, LA. Deacon Bryne Winn will conduct the service.
Mrs. Oakley is survived by her husband, Warren Oakley of Sunset, LA; her stepfather, Whitney Carriere of Church Point; her mother-in-law, Earline Oakley of Sunset; a son, Joe Oakley and wife Liz of Church Point; her daughters, Tanya Ardoin of West Lake, LA and Carmen Oakley of Texarkana, AR; a brother, Kevin Carriere and wife Patrice of Gonzales, LA; a sister, Brunella Mooney of Katy, TX and five grandchildren: Chance "Little Man" Burchfield, Bailey Burchfield, Gavin and Gracie Oakley and Margaret Cranford. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred Labbie and Audrey Miller Carriere; her father-in-law, Francis Oakley and two sisters, Adeline Carriere and Tammy Thurston. Truly loved, Mrs. Oakley will be missed by her extended family and friends.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service on Thursday.
