Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 29, 2024 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Sherry B. Miller, 75, the former Sherry Marie Bihm. Mrs. Miller, a native and resident of Church Point, died at 11:10 PM Thursday, January 25 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. Father Brian Harrington, Pastor of the Church, will conduct the Services with Entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

A graduate of Church Point High School Class of 1966, Mrs. Miller was employed by Acadia-St. Landry Hospital as a  Pharmacy Secretary for 30 years, a parishioner of OLSH Church and the secretary of American Legion Post 225 for a number of years. She cherished time with her family; celebrating even the smallest things and attending her grandchildren's events. Sherry and her daughter "Rach" became "avid travelers". During the period 10/09/2023-01/25/2024, they shared hospital stays at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Oschner Lafayette General Medical Center, Lafayette Heart Hospital, Lake Charles Memorial Hospital and Acadia-St. Landry Hospital. They ended Sherry's earthly journey together, with "Rach" holding her hand as the Lord took her Momma home. The family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Williams and the staffs of Acadia-St. Landry Hospital and Hope Hospice for the care extended to Mrs. Miller. Survivors include her husband, Ferdie Miller of Church Point; a daughter, Rachael Miller-Oliver and husband David of Scott, LA; a son, Shane Miller and wife Dawn of Lafayette, LA; her grandchildren, Hunter Miller and companion Korin Camel and Seth Miller; a sister, Donna Guidry and husband Daniel of Church Point and 2 grand-"fur babies", Chloe Chyanne and Ace. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruby Higginbotham Bihm.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM on Sunday, January 28 and continue from 8:00 AM Monday until the time of services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 PM Sunday by Deacon David Menard. Pallbearers will be Shane, Hunter and Seth Miller; David Oliver, Daniel Guidry and David Blanchard. Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Labbie and Richie Richard. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA (337) 684-5488.
