Church Point, LA:         It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Ruby S. Arabie, 95, the former Mary Ruby Savoy. A loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife; Mrs. Arabie died Thursday morning, September 15, 2022. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 17 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA with Rev. Father Brian Harrington, pastor of the church, as the celebrant of the Mass. Interment will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Scott, LA on September 19 at 10:00 AM.

Mrs. Arabie, who worked as a lunch room attendant for the Acadia Parish School Board, retired early to care for her terminally ill husband. She will be remembered by those who knew her best for her strength, her undying devotion to her husband and her faith in God. Survivors include her son, Joseph "Joe" Arabie and wife Eldean of Crowley, LA; a granddaughter, Rachelle Arabie Wells and husband Ronald Wells, Jr. of Prairieville, LA and two loving grandchildren, Grant and Elisé Wells. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Willie Arabie; her parents, Clèrfé and Ida Daigle Savoy and four sisters and three brothers.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 AM by Deacon Michael Vidrine. Pallbearers will be Paul Dupont, Bobby Schexnider, Grant and Ron Wells, Chad Hornsby and Dusty Comeaux. The family wishes to thank Encore Health and Rehab and Traditions Hospice for the care shown their mother. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
