Church Point, LA:         A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Rose Marie Horecky Adams, 94. Mrs. Adams, a native of Church Point and a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 15. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the service and entombment will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

She is survived by her daughters, Ardys Adams Duplechin and husband Harvey and Sara Adams Fann and husband James (Bubba); three grandchildren, Alex Conrad Duplechin and wife Kasey, Andrew Duplechin and Andrea Marie Duplechin Sonnier and husband Cody; four great-grandchildren: Skylar Marie, Kaitlynn Rose and Hunter Preston Sonnier and Abby Claire Duplechin; two step great-grandchildren, Dax and Eli Wainwright; one nephew, seven nieces and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad C. Horecky, Sr. and Rena Marie Richard Horecky; two sisters, Marvel Horecky McLeod and husband Thomas and Beverly Horecky Richard and husband D.V.; a brother, Conrad C. Horecky, Jr.; three nephews, Conrad C. (Beau Beau) Horecky, III, Thomas Marshall (Bucky) McLeod, Jr. and Milton Alexander (Sandy) McLeod; two nieces, Charlotte Richard Lavergne and Melissa Richard Trahan; a great-grandniece, Marvel Lavergne; a great-grandnephew, Claude Trahan and her former husband, Ray D. Adams.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, June 17 and continue from 8:00 AM Saturday until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7:00 PM Friday by Deacon Winn. Pallbearers will be Alex and Andrew Duplechin; Cody Sonnier and Dax Wainwright. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Sonnier, Richard Horecky and Eli Wainwright. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Traditions Health Hospice Care; Lafayette, LA. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
