Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Joseph Ronald Thibodeaux, 60. Mr. Thibodeaux, a native and life-long resident of rural Acadia Parish near Church Point, died at 7:05 P.M. Tuesday, July 30 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana in Lafayette, La. Father Garrett Savoie will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery in Lewisburg, La.

Survivors include his mother, Helen Bergeron of Church Point; his wife, Linda Thibodeaux of Church Point; a son, Tommy Thibodeaux of Church Point and his fiance, Nikki Boudreaux of Milton, La.; two daughters, Danielle Bellard and husband Jason and Katie Thibodeaux-all of Church Point; a brother and sister, Keith "Raybu" Thibodeaux and Sandra Thibodeaux and husband Eddie-all of Church Point and a granddaughter, Brooke Bellard of Church Point.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kurtney Thibodeaux; a brother, Kurt Thibodeaux; a sister, Diana Labbe and a sister-in-law, Donna Thibodeaux.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, August 1 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday by Deacon Jim Cormier.

Mr. Thibodeaux was the assistant store manager of Lafayette Rental where he had been employed for some thirty-nine years.
