Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the St. John Chapel in Lewisburg, La. for Ronald James "Sweet Tooth" Lyons, 54. Mr. Lyons, a native of Lewisburg and long-time resident of Church Point, La., died Thursday morning, May 30 at his residence. Monsignor Jefferson J. Deblanc will conduct the services with interment following in the St. John Cemetery adjacent to the chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Verdin Lyons of Church Point; a son, Justin Tatum Verdin of Branch, La.; a daughter, Hope Lyons Myers and husband Brent of Charenton, La.; two brothers, Darrel Manuel and wife Debbie of Lawtell, La. and David Lyons of Gonzales, La.; two sisters, Donna Sue Lyons of Mandeville, La. and Cathy Lyons Dupre and husband Dwayne of Lewisburg and two grandchildren, Cameron Michael Richard and Dakota Jacob Thibodeaux.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Mary Lou (Tweedel) Lyons.; his grandparents, Frank and Marie Tweedel; his aunt, Helen Tweedel; his godparents, Lionel and Juanita Tweedel; two nieces, Angelle Manuel and Crystal Joubert and a nephew, Nicholas Joubert.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Monday, June 3 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
