Church Point, La. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at St. Edmund Catholic Church in Branch, La. for Mrs. Ronald (Sherry) Savoy, 54, the former Sherry Ann Burleigh. Mrs. Savoy, a native of Bristol, La. and long-time resident of Branch, died at 12:26 P.M. Monday, August 1 at Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Father Paul Broussard will conduct the services with interment following in the St. Edmund Cemetery adjacent to the Church.

Survivors include her father, Easton Burleigh of Bristol; her husband, Ronald Savoy of Branch; her son, Justin Savoy and wife Jodi of Branch; her daughters, Rhonda Fontenot and husband Cyprien ("Cyp") and April Nicole Savoy-all of Branch; a sister, Paula Menard and husband Ervin of Cankton, La. and her grandchildren: Mckayla Fontenot, Amya Fontenot, Christopher, Braze and Ahna Savoy and Davyn Cutrer.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Lee (Credeur) Burleigh; her paternal grandparents, Felix and Margaret Burleigh and her maternal grandparents, Jack and Alice Credeur.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 2 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Wednesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday by Father Broussard.

Mrs. Savoy was the former Service Desk Manager at Sam's Wholesale Club in Scott, La.
