Church Point, LA:     A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Joseph Ronald Savoy, 69. Mr. Savoy, a long-time resident of Branch, died Thursday afternoon, November 28 at his residence. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the Service with Interment immediately following in the St. Edmund Cemetery in Branch, LA.

Survivors include his daughters, Rhonda Castille and husband Toby of Church Point and April Savoy of Branch; his son, Justin Savoy and wife Jodi of Branch; his grandchildren: Mckayla and Amya Fontenot, Davyn Cutrer and Christopher, Braze and Ahna Savoy and his best friend, "Titan". He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Calvin and Mary Ann Meche Savoy; his wife, Sherry Burleigh Savoy and a sister, Janice Marie Savoy.

Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM on Saturday, November 30 and continue from 8:00 AM Sunday until time of Services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Saturday by Deacon Winn. Pallbearers will be Josh Daigle, Jason Menard, Davyn Cutrer, Sebastian Thibodeaux, Matt Smith and Robbie, Kurt and Gaynal Savoy; honorary pallbearer will be Andre Douga.

An oilfield truck driver for a number of years; Mr. Savoy was a loving family man who enjoyed working on small engines, hunting and fishing, horses, cooking and a good joke. Involved with the Branch Fire Department for many years, he was known for "playing Santa" at the Mire and Branch Fire Stations. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N.
