Church Point, LA:     A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 Noon Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Francis Ronald Johnson, 77, who passed away Monday morning, April 12 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Rev. Patrick S. Broussard, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct cemetery committal services at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Ronald, a kind-hearted man who loved laughing, dancing and having a "good time", worked many hours to provide for his family. A member of the Woodmen of the World, the Knights of Columbus and the Saddle Tramp Riding Club for a number of years; he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. A life-long resident of Church Point, Ronald was the son of the late Lawrence Johnson and the former Adaze D'Augereaux. He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Bellard Johnson of Church Point;  three daughters, Jill Daigle and husband Earl of Eunice, LA, Allison Johnson of Church Point and Ann Lavergne and husband Shannon of Church Point; one son, Ronnie Johnson and wife Dayna of Church Point; nine grandchildren: Lauren Smith, Olivia and Grant Daigle, Alyssa Fontenot, Luke and Major Lavergne and Claiton, Landyn and Madaline Johnson; five great grandchildren: Colton Hargrave, Boston and Oaklee Fontenot and Easton and Demi Smith and one brother, Pat Johnson and wife Patsy of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Elsie Wimberly, Madeline Bergeron and Bernida Bergeron and two brothers, Kelly and J.D. Johnson.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Tuesday April 13 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until the time of funeral services.
