Church Point, LA:         A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Rodney Joseph "Joe" Doucet, 69. Mr. Doucet, a lifetime resident of Church Point, passed away Monday October 25. Deacon David Menard will officiate at the service and entombment will be in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

He is survived by his companion, Charlotte Taylor of Church Point; his brothers, Allen Doucet of Baytown, TX and Ronald Doucet of Sunset, LA; his sisters, Freda Richard and husband Rodney of Church Point and Yolande Addatto and husband Tony of Opelousas, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Lena Comeaux Doucet; a sister, Angelina Doucet and brothers Wilton and James Carroll Doucet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:30 AM until the time of services on Saturday. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 1:00 PM by Deacon Menard. Mr. Doucet was an employee of Piggly Wiggly in Church Point for a number of years. He will be missed by his extended family and friends. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
