Church Point, LA      Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart for Mr. Rodney Bergeron, 84, who passed away on Sunday, October 16 at his residence. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the funeral services. Entombment will take place in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum- Hwy 35. He is survived by his wife of 58 Years, Elmire Faul Bergeron of Sunset, LA; three daughters, Charlotte Bergeron of Church Point, Melanie B. Lanclos of Sunset, and Greta B. Badeaux and husband Ron of Broussard, LA; one son, Michael Keith Bergeron of Sunset; eight grandchildren, Danelle and Dustin Huval, Colby Bourque, Brad Melancon, Corey Mitchell and Hunter Jude Lanclos and Hailey and Cole Badeaux; eleven great grandchildren, Kyra, Kade, Ayden, Alexander, Charlee, Bailie, B.J., Braxton, Brylie, Ave and Elijah and one sister, Faye Hebert of Arnaudville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton Bergeron, Sr. and the former Claudia Meche; one sister, Davergne Verrette; four brothers, Harold, Percy, Alton, Jr. and Paul Bergeron and two sons-in-law, Mark Bourque and Michael Lanclos. Visiting hours will be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, October 19 and continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the time of services.
