Church Point, LA:     A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 P.M. Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Robert "Bob" Matt, 59. Mr. Matt, a native and long-time resident of Acadia Parish near Church Point, died Tuesday afternoon, July 30 at his residence. Deacon Bryne Winn will conduct the service with interment following at a later date in the St. John Cemetery in Lewisburg, LA.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Comeaux Matt of Church Point; a son, Albert "AJ" Matt of Church Point; a brother, Kurt Matt and wife Sheila of Lewisburg; a nephew, Jason Matt and companion Mallory LeBlanc of Lewisburg; a niece, Tracy David and husband Tyler of Church Point and numerous Comeaux family nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Matt, Jr. and Josephine Thibodeaux Matt and his father-in-law, Carol Comeaux. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. Saturday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 11:30 A.M. Saturday by Deacon Winn. A farmer who enjoyed working his "truck patch", Mr. Matt will truly be missed by his extended family and friends.
