Church Point, LA:         A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Robert Laurent Franques, 91. Mr. Franques, a native and current resident of Crowley, LA, passed away Saturday morning at the Carpenter House in Lafayette, LA. Deacon Byrne Winn will conduct the prayer service and the interment in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery adjacent to the church.
He is survived by a brother, Don Franques and his wife Millie of Lafayette, LA; a nephew, Allen Franques; a niece, Karen Camos and his extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, "Nell" and Angelle Franques.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until the time of services on Tuesday. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 10:45 AM by Deacon Winn. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Franques was an assembly worker in the auto production industry for a number of years. He will be honored with a Flag Presentation ceremony at the time of the service. Guidry Funeral Home, 219 N. Broadway St., Church Point, LA is in charge of final arrangements.
