Rita M. (Miller) Leger's Obituary
Church Point, La.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, July 6, 2012 at St. John Catholic Chapel in Lewisburg, La. for Rita M. Leger, 87, the former Rita Miller. Mrs. Leger, a long-time resident of Lewisburg and currently a resident of Magnolia Estates in Lafayette, La., died at 6:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at her residence. Father Stephen Ugwu will conduct the service with interment following in the cemetery adjacent to the church.
Survivors include her son, "Joe" Leger and companion Anna Leger of Lafayette; a brother, Dominic Miller of Church Point; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Avaton Leger and her parents, Aurelien and Lelia (Gautreaux) Miller.
The family requested a visitation from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 4 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday by Father Stephen Ugwu.
