Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 23,2019 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Riley Duplechin, Sr., 68, the former Cheryl Ann Matte. Mrs. Duplechin, a native of Church Point and currently a resident of Rayne, LA, died Wednesday morning, November 20 at her residence. Father Jason Vidrine will conduct the services with interment following in the Monsignor Bienvenu Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point. Survivors include her husband, Riley Duplechin, Sr.; her sons: Joseph Riley Duplechin, Jr. of Rayne, Kurt Anthony Duplechin and wife Olivia of Scott, LA, Bryan Anthony Duplechin and wife Felicia of Church Point and Ryan Anthony Duplechin and wife Stephanie of New Iberia, LA; a daughter, Carlas Duplechin and companion Charles Brown of Rayne; two brothers, David Matte of Church Point and Paul Matte and wife Donna of Lafayette, LA; her sisters: Bernadine LeJeune, Darlene Menard and Robin Miller and husband Bernard-all 0f Church Point-and Tina Leger of Rayne; Twenty-three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Jennie Sonnier Matte and two brothers, Ronald and Robert Matte. Pallbearers will be Joe, Kurt, Bryan, Ryan and Jacob Duplechin and Bryson Meche. Honorary pallbearers will be Kaleb and Kyle Daigle and Charles Brown. The family wishes to thank the staff at Amedisys Hospice for the care given to Mrs. Duplechin. Truly loved, she will be sadly missed by her extended family and friends. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 9:00 P.M. on Friday, November 22 and continue from 8:00 A.M until the time of the services on Saturday.
