Church Point, LA:          A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 20, 2023 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Richard Martin Horecky, Sr., 76, who passed away at his home surrounded by family. Father Brian Harrington, pastor of the church, will conduct the Mass and a private interment will be held at a later date. His urn will be carried by his son, Richard Martin Horecky, Jr. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 12:00 Noon by Father Harrington.

Richard, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the son of the late Conrad Horecky, Jr. and the former Inez Hollier. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Richard Horecky of Church Point; his daughters, Christine Bellard and husband Matthew of Church Point and Mary Horecky DeCuir and husband Kevin of Lafayette, LA; his son, Richard Martin "Marty" Horecky, Jr. and fianceé Sherron Anastasoff of Litchfield Park, AZ; his grandchildren: Caroline Bellard Frey and husband Cole, Amy Clare Bellard, Thomas Bellard and wife Jillian, Anna Catherine Bellard, Madeline and Michael DeCuir, Victoria Horecky and fiancé Drake, Kayleigh Horecky and Ben and Will Anastasoff and his uncle and Godfather, Richard "Dickie" Hollier. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Conrad Horecky, III.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend; Richard worked for the Church Point Wholesale and continued in sales for many years. An avid golfer and hunter, he enjoyed watching sports with family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
