Church Point, LA:        Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 2, 2022 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Reynold James Richard, 67. Mr. Richard, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died Monday night, November 28 at his home surrounded by family. Rev. Father Brian Harrington will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Beaugh Richard of Church Point; his daughters, Alissa Smith (David) and Sarah Comeaux (Douglas)-all of Church Point; his brothers: Remi Richard (Berna) of Lake Charles, LA, Jude Richard and John Richard (Mel)-all of Church Point; Douglas Richard of York, ME and Dwight Richard (Janice) of Barrington, NH; his sisters: Bonnie Labauve of New Iberia, LA, Lynn Pavich of Eunice, La, Liz (Richard) Horecky, Louise (Jim) Clayton and Myrtle (Loyd) O'Neal-all of Church Point, Christine (Rene) Bienvenu of Lafayette, LA, Phyllis Richard-Sloat of Durham, NH and Denise (Don) Pease of York, ME and his grandchildren: Audrey Duhon; Meredith, Gabe, Margaret, Catherine, Caroline and William Smith; Layne, Libby and Hudson Comeaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Remi and Reva Boudreaux Richard; a son, Jacques Richard; a daughter, Leslie Richard and a sister, Judy Bastidas.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, December 1 and continue from 9:00 AM Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 PM Thursday. Mr. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend.  He retired from Union Pacific Railroad in 2015 with 41 years of service. He was a hard-working and fun-loving man who was respected and loved by many. He will be missed by all who knew him. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N.
