Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Rena Larcade Ronsonette, 93, the former Rena Beaugh. Mrs. Rena, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 4:30 A.M. Tuesday, November 15 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Father Stephen Ugwu will conduct the services with entombment following in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Church Point.

Survivors include three sons: Joey, Cooper and Ralph Larcade-all of Church Point; a daughter, Kyla Deshazo and husband Robert of Lafayette, La.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Frank Larcade; her second husband, Walter Ronsonette; a son, Randy Larcade; her parents, Eluce and Anna (Bourgeois) Beaugh; five brothers and five sisters.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 16 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Thursday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday by Father Ugwu.

Mrs. Rena was a teacher in the Acadia Parish School System for a number of years. Loved by many, she will be fondly remembered for her hospitality and her cakes and pies.

The family truly wishes to thank Dr. Mike Williams and the staffs of Acadia-St.Landry Hospital and Guest Home for the care and compassion given to Mrs. Rena.
