Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, La. for Mrs. Remi Venable, 92, the former Beatrice Brasseaux. Mrs. Venable, a native and life-long resident of Church Point, died at 12:45 A.M. Saturday, February 9 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, La. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with interment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery adjacent to the church.

Survivors include a son, Jimmie and wife Linda (Prejean) Venable of Church Point; three grandsons, Ferall Venable and wife Kreseda of Scott, La. and Craig Venable and wife Charlotte and Bradley Venable and wife Erica-all of Church Point and six great-grandchildren: Treva Bordelon and Tyler, Taylor, Jude, Hali and Kamryn Venable.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Evelyn (Thibodeaux) Brasseaux; five sisters and three brothers.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. on Monday, February 11 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Tuesday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday by Monsignor DeBlanc.
