Church Point, LA Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 29, 2017 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Mrs. Remi Andrepont, 93, the former Thelma Elkins. Mrs. Andrepont, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, died early Wednesday morning, September 27 at Acadia-St. Landry Guest Home in Church Point. Monsignor Jefferson J. DeBlanc will conduct the services with entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

Survivors include her sons, Berlin Andrepont and wife Eva Dale of Church Point, Gerald Andrepont and wife Wilda of Sunset, LA and Kent Andrepont and companion Belinda Jeffers of Port Barre, LA; her daughters, Linda A. Sonnier of Church Point and "Nettie" Lee of Lafayette, La; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Colomb and Helen Smith Elkins; her husband, Remi Andrepont; two sisters, Mrs. Linus "Elta" Sonnier and Marjorie Elkins; four brothers: Houston, Irby, Lawrence and Hilman Elkins and a grandson, Cody Sonnier. The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 28 and continue from 8:00 A.M. Friday until the time of the services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 7:00 P.M. Thursday by Monsignor DeBlanc. A much-loved, devoutly Catholic person, Mrs. Andrepont was a member of the Mattie Latiolais Rosary Group for many years.
