Church Point, LA:     Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Rebecca "Becky" Daigle, 81, the former Rebecca Ann Guidry. Mrs. Daigle, a native of Church Point and resident of Scott, LA, died Sunday morning, February 25 at The Calcutta House, Lafayette, LA. Father Michael Vidrine, Parochial Vicar, OLSH, will conduct the services with Entombment following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Mausoleum adjacent to the Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Mrs. Dan (Julie) Sorey of Longview, TX and Mrs. Dean (Linda) Blanchard of Breaux Bridge, LA; her sons, James Kenneth "Jim" Daigle, Jr. of Alvin, TX and Gregory Scott Daigle and wife Taryn of Lafayette, LA; ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; her sisters, Susan Fontenot and husband Jimmy of Chickamauga, GA and Paula Gamble and husband James of Lafayette and her brothers, Mike Guidry and wife Judy of Murfreesboro, TN and Dr. Peter Guidry, DDS and wife Carrie of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kenneth "Ken" Daigle, Sr. and her parents, Owen and Anita Guidry.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 8:30 AM Saturday until the time of services. A recitation of the Rosary will be held there at 12:30 PM by Deacon Byrne Winn, OLSH. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Sorey, Brandon Blanchard, Gabriel Daigle, Kyle Davidson, Mark Daigle and James Gamble.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother with a great sense of humor; Mrs. Daigle was a Dietary Manager for some 35 years and helped her husband in a successful local business, Richard Candy Company. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Calcutta House and St. Jude Childrens Hospital. Arrangements are being handled by Guidry Funeral Home, Inc.; 219 N. Broadway, Church Point, LA.
