Church Point, LA Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2016 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point, LA for Raymond Mark Daigle, Sr., 86, who passed away at 8:50 PM Monday, June 20 at Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings, LA. Fr. Mark Melancon, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will conduct the funeral services with burial following in the Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery adjacent to the church. Raymond, a native and long-time resident of Church Point, was the son of the late John Daigle and the former Rosa Richard. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Lacey B. Daigle of Church Point; three daughters, Phyllis Turner and husband Norman of Eunice, LA and Charlene Daigle and husband Terry ("Tiyo") Daigle and Angela Savoy and husband Kavin-all of Church Point; four sons, Barry Daigle and wife Patricia of Duson, LA, Archie Daigle and wife Belinda of Church Point, Raymond Daigle, Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Carencro, LA and Patrick Daigle and wife Carla of Church Point; thirty grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cherry Goodfred and Theresa Kelly and five brothers, Jessie, George, Frank, Albert and Larry Daigle. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Richard Daigle; two sisters, Enola Jagneaux and Fannie Belle Doucet and three brothers, John Y., Tommy and Girard Daigle . The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Thursday, June 23 from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm and continue on Friday from 8:00 am until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. Pallbearers will be Barry, Archie, Raymond, Jr., Patrick and "Tiyo" Daigle and Kavin Savoy. Honorary pallbearer will be Norman Turner.
