Church Point, LA:         A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 27, 2021 at Guidry Funeral Home in Church Point, LA for Randal Joseph "Randy" Benoit, 61. Mr. Benoit, a native and resident of Church Point, passed away Monday, August 23 at Acadia-St. Landry Hospital in Church Point. Pastor Gerad Morgan of Northside Assembly of God will conduct the service; entombment will be in the Monsignor Bienvenu Mausoleum on Hwy 35 north of Church Point.

He is survived by his wife, Sunethra "Alisha" Benoit of Church Point; his sons, Eric Benoit and wife Amber of Church Point and Dr. Yohan Perera and wife Dr. Sheba Perera of Sri Lanka; a daughter, Erica Murphy of Alexandria, LA; his brothers: Fred Benoit and wife Pam and Dwayne "PaJoe" Benoit and wife Pam-all of Church Point and Gene Benoit and wife Debbie of Mire, LA; his sisters: Elaine Latiolais and husband John Dale and Cindy Housley and husband Duane-all of Church Point, Diann Doucet and husband Lubert of Eunice, LA and Lisa Thibodeaux and husband Frank of Crowley, LA and his grandchildren: Anabelle, Bailey, Scarlet and Julianne Benoit; Charlotte and Hannah Murphy; Elijah Ridley and a Benoit grandchild expected in April. He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Lucille Hanks Benoit; a son, Michael Brandon Benoit; a brother, Roger Dale Benoit and a niece, Tessie Ann Doucet. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 26 and continue from 8:00 AM Friday until the time of services. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 6:00 PM Thursday by Deacon Byrne Winn. Pallbearers will be Eric, Gavin, Victor, Cainan and Dwayne "PaJoe" Benoit and Derek Latiolais. Honorary pallbearer will be Fred Benoit. A well-loved devoted family man, Mr. Benoit was a Production Lead Operator at EnVen Energy for a number of years. He will be missed by all who knew him.
