Church Point, LA: A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Church Point, LA for Peggy Lynn Kirkpatrick, 68. Ms. Kirkpatrick, a native and resident of Church Point, died Wednesday evening, May 20 at The Calcutta House in Lafayette, LA. Visitation will be held at Guidry Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, May 22 and continue from 8:00 AM Saturday until the time of the Services. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Friday by Deacon Byrne Winn. Fr. Brian Harrington, Pastor of the Church, will conduct the Mass. Pallbearers will be Mike, Joe, Casey, Dennis, Jonathon and Toby Kirkpatrick. Interment will be at a later date.

Survivors include her daughter, Samantha Rae Kirkpatrick of Church Point; her brothers, Mike (Genny) Kirkpatrick, Joel (Marlinda) Kirkpatrick, Dennis Kirkpatrick and Casey (Leigh-Ann) Kirkpatrick-all of Church Point and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Patsy (Thibodeaux) Kirkpatrick; her paternal grandparents, Toby Roston and Rena (Meynig) Kirkpatrick; her maternal grandparents, Alphonse and Pearl (Richard) Thibodeaux and her companion, Dwight “Butch” Cormier.

Peggy will be remembered for her zest for life and love of her family. Her life centered on family, faith, work, and service to those around her. She found joy in traveling, socializing and visiting with the young and old; her conversations never wanting to end. She was a loving mother, sister and daughter. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
