Church Point, LA A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Church Point for Mrs. Pearl H. Johnson, 87, who passed away at 7:53 AM Wednesday, June 14 at her residence. Msgr. Jefferson J. Deblanc, Pastor of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church will be the Celebrant of the Mass and burial will take place in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Cemetery on Hwy 35.
Pearl, a life-long resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late Colbert Henry and the former Angel Daigle Henry.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Johnson Matte and husband Doris of Church Point; four sons, Kelly J. Johnson, Jr. and wife Mildred of Metairie, LA, Charles F. Johnson and wife Violet of Ponchatoula, LA, Dr. Glenn M. Johnson of Kenner, LA and Phillip Johnson and wife Sharon of Breaux Bridge, LA; nine grandchildren: Jared, Derek and Dustin Matte, Hannah M. Hendricks, Eric and Steven Johnson, Angelle Missios, Kristin Noble and Sarah Johnson; four great grandchildren; three sisters, Theresa Nevele, Glenny Thibodeaux and Lela Stelly and one brother, Colbert Henry, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kelly Johnson; one grandchild, Tess Johnson and one sister, Delia Thibodeaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Guidry Funeral Home on Thursday, June 15 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the time of services.
