Church Point, LA:           Paula Ann Thibodeaux Afghani, born and raised in Church Point, Louisiana, died on May 2, 2019 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 62. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.

Born on October 10, 1956, Paula graduated from Church Point High School in 1974.  Paula married her surviving husband Oscar Afghani on January 11, 1979. They moved to Dallas in 1987 and remained married until her death. Paula dedicated her life to loving and raising her three children: Kevin Afghani, 39, is a patent attorney residing with his wife in New Orleans, Ashley Afghani, 31, is a fashion designer residing with her husband Charles Leek in Los Angeles, and Michael Afghani, 20, is a student at the University of Texas at Dallas. Paula is also survived by her older brother Barry Thibodeaux and her younger sister Suzanne Wetta. Paula was preceded in death by her parents Freddie and Mary Thibodeaux, who died in 2019 and 2009, respectively.
